Daniel Wentworth

Since 2017, Dan Wentworth has established himself as a highly respected trial attorney, zealously advocating for his clients' interests and legal rights. His practice focuses on criminal defense and OUI defense in addition to divorce and family law.
Dan was born in Portland, and raised in Sanford, Maine. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 2014, with a degree in History. In 2017, he graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. While in law school, Dan obtained a range of valuable legal experience outside the classroom while practicing as a student attorney at the York County District Attorney's Office and the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic and working part-time as a reserve police officer for the Old Orchard Beach Police Department. In 2023, he earned a Master of Law degree (LLM) in Forensics, Criminology, and Law from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
In 2026, Dan became a named partner of Boyd Wentworth (formerly the Law Offices of Dylan Boyd).
Dan is licensed to practice in both state and federal court in Maine. He has represented clients in courthouses throughout the state--as far south as Biddeford and as far north as Caribou. He is a member of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been selected by SuperLawyers since 2021.
